Knights of Columbus Council #4179

Basic qualification: To join the Knight of Columbus, you must be a practicing Catholic male 18 years of age or older.

Process: You must complete an application (Form 100) which is obtainable from the Council clubhouse or from any current member. Your application is then read at a regular Council business meeting and voted on by the members at the meeting. Upon being successfully elected to Holy Family Council, you will need to be initiated into the Knights of Columbus. It is normal for all Knights of Columbus members to be initiated into the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Degrees of the Order. Although you only need to be initiated into the 1st degree to be considered a member, only 3rd Degree members can fully participate in all of the Council activities including voting at Council business meetings. Initiations into the Knights are held throughout the year at a various Councils within the Springfield Diocese.
